Baseball Drops Second Game to El Camino

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Baseball Team hosted El Camino College Friday evening in the second game of a three-game home stand at Gerry Collis Field and came away with a 5-3 loss.

El Camino drove in two runs in the top of the third to start the scoring. BC responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning off an Ashanti Ross RBI. They would tie the game at 2-2 in the fourth off a sacrifice fly Trey Harmon that scored Landn Kauk from third.

The Warriors drove in three runs in the top of the ninth to go ahead 5-3 and eventually the win.

Lane Cowan got the start at pitcher and worked seven innings getting six strikeouts with two hits and two runs allowed. Gabe Ulloa came in to relieve in the eighth and was replaced by Ruben Barron in the ninth after the two El Camino runs scored.

With the loss, BC drops to 6-3 overall.

The Renegades wrap up the series against El Camino tomorrow, Sat. (2/9) at 12pm.
