Christian Vallin broke a scoreless tie with a 24th-minute goal off a Salomon Kendaya to spur the West Valley men's soccer team to a 3-1 win over visiting Las Positas Friday.

Kendaya added another helper eight minutes later on an LPC own-goal credited to Andrew Garcia. Garcia leads WVC with nine goals in 2021, while Kendaya has a team-high 11 assists.  Kendaya converted a penalty kick at 86', his seventh goal of the season, to seal the victory. Ryan Gardner made five saves to earn the win in goal.

West Valley (6-9-1, 4-5-0 Coast-North) travels to Ohlone (5-9-2, 2-4-2 Coast-South) Tuesday, Nov. 2. Kickoff is 4:00pm.
