For the fifth time in the last six seasons, the American River men's tennis team won the NorCal team championship. It was the third time during that streak that ARC had beaten the Foothill Owls for the title. In this matchup, the Beavers were the heavy favorite as the #1 seed against the #7 seeded Foothill squad. Foothill had upset #2 Modesto and #5 ranked Folsom Lake team to reach the final. In the doubles the Beavers were dominant at #2 and #3, winning each by the score of 8-1. At #1, there were no breaks of serve the entire match, and the Foothill tandem of Zino Mirtorabi/Marius Englemann won the tiebreak 8-6 to take one of the doubles points. It would be the only point on the day for the Owls, as Ravi Nelson (#1), Sam Kassis (#6), and Julian Bilbao (#5) won their matches in lopsided straight-set fashion to clinch the team win and NorCal title for the Beavers.

ARC will play the College of the Desert Road Runners in the state championship match in Ventura on Wednesday, April 26th at 10:00a. It is a rematch of the 2022 state championship, which the Beavers lost to the Road Runners.
