Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West women's soccer team welcomed Orange Empire Conference foe and number one ranked Cypress College to campus and fell in a hard fought 1-0 loss. 

It wasn't until just before the end of the first half that Cypress scored its lone goal that proved to be the difference in this match. The Rustlers were on the wrong side of a missed tackle in the 18yd box in the second half that would've forced a penatly kick to possibly tie the match. Forward Kennedy Chavez had the best look at the goal with two shots, one on goal in the Rustler loss. 

Goalkeeper Carly Miles allowed the one goal while saving four other attempts as Golden West falls to 2-3-4 overall and 1-1 in conference. 

Golden West will host Irvine Valley College on Tuesday, October 5th for a 3pm kickoff.
