Men's Basketball Loses Close Contest at Napa Valley

Napa, Calif. - The starting five for the Solano men's basketball team all scored in double figures, but the Falcons narrowly fell at Napa Valley, 83-79, on Wednesday evening.

Sophomore Dunnell Stafford led the way for Solano with a team-high 18 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Jordan Adams added 14 points, while sophomore Uriah Benning rounded out the team's top three scorers with 13 and seven rebounds.

The Falcons led by 12 going into the break, but struggled offensively, shooting only 33.3 percent, with key players getting in foul trouble, while Napa Valley shot 53.1 percent from the field.

Solano (9-11, 4-4) looks to bounce back at Contra Costa on Friday, Jan. 24. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
