Citrus College won the first set but couldn't hold off Bakersfield College, falling in four sets (22-25, 25-7, 25-23, 25-21).
The Owls slip to 5-12 overall and 1-3 in Western State Conference-South action. The Renegades improve to 7-7 on the year, 3-2 in conference.
Caren Stone led the Owls with 10 kills and had 11 digs for a double-double. Sabrina Evangelista was just one kill shy of double figures with nine kills. Vanessa Marquez finished with 29 assists, while Mychaela Ortiz had 18 digs defensively.
Citrus heads to Antelope Valley on Friday for a 6 p.m. match.
