(Torrance, CA) Defending state champion Mt. San Antonio College (14-6-1, 5-4-1) came up short against Cerritos College (19-0-2, 10-0) by the score of 3-2 in the South Coast Conference Tournament championship game on Friday, Nov. 11, at El Camino College.

Down 1-0, Andrew Vazquez scored for the Mounties at the 15:20 mark on an assist by Damian Esparza to tie the score. The Falcons added a goal late in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into halftime, then scored another at the 67:01 mark to extend their lead to 3-1. Mt. SAC pulled to within one on an unassisted goal by Edward Castro at the 68:07 mark, but that was where the scoring ended.

In 90 minutes, goalie Jacob Cardenas made four saves for the Mounties.
