Olivia Strong, Charlee Fitzmaurice (No. 2), Jasmine Briseno (No. 3) and Leila Adel (No. 4) all earned straight set victories in their singles matches. The Knights, who were shorthanded on Thursday with only four players, forfeited the No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches, as well as the No. 3 doubles match.
Strong defeated Kayla Lee, 6-0 and 6-0 in No. 1 singles, while Fitzmaurice recorded a 6-2 and 6-4 victory over IVC's Raycel Martinez in No. 2 singles.
In No. 3 singles, Briseno got past Kamaya Robles, 6-2 and 6-4. Adel earned a 6-2 and 6-3 victory over Jade Cazares in No. 4 singles.
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Strong/Fitzmaurice defeated Lee/Martinez, 8-0, while City's No. 2 team of Adel/Briseno bested Robles/Lauren Henderson, 8-1.
The Knights will continue PCAC play on Thursday, March 10 at Southwestern and will be back home against Southwestern on Tuesday, March 15.
