Men's Basketball VS. Columbia

Saturday night will be the final regular-season performance at Reedley's Paul Mitchell Court for three Tiger sophomores who have led the team in the 2019-2020 season.

Merced College will be the opponent for the Tigers on Saturday, who took a conference record of 5-5 and an overall record of 14-10 into a Wednesday, Feb. 12 home matchup with the second-place College of the Sequoias Giants (8-2, 19-5).

Sophomores Uriah Carter leads the Central Valley Conference in scoring at 20.7 points per game. Hassan Bolden is the leader in rebounds and is second in rebounds. Braxton Hicks' importance to the Tigers showed last Saturday night in a 75-72 home loss to the 14th ranked team in the state, the Columbia College Claim Jumpers.

Reedley led by as many as 10 points in the first half with Hicks on the floor. But when Hicks went to the bench with foul trouble, Columbia was able to get back into the game, trailing by only one point at halftime.

Carter came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 28 points while Bolden had 26 points and 11 rebounds.

On Feb. 7, the Tigers came back from a four-point halftime deficit to down winless West Hills Coalinga 65-56. Carter led the winners with 22 points and five steals while Bolden recorded 21 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
