The undefeated run for the No. 6 state-ranked City College of San Francisco women's soccer team finally came to an end. On Tuesday, the Rams suffered a 2-0 non-conference loss at Sierra College in Rocklin.

The Rams closed out their non-conference schedule with a 6-1 overall record. Sierra improved to 5-1.

CCSF trailed in a game for just the second time this season. Sierra took the lead in the 37th minute after a goal by Amber Pon and put closed out its win with Emily Hester's goal in the 51st minute.

Rams' goalkeeper Alexia Estrada had posted shutouts in four of six victories this season but allowed two goals in a game for just the second time this year. She totaled six saves in a strong effort.

"Although we didn't get the intended result, I am very proud of the character we showed today," said CCSF head coach Jeff Wilson. "We played one of California's best teams and brought out the best in them. Playing away, in a playoff atmosphere will only make us better. Next time, we just need to convert our chances and we will be fine."

The Rams will look to bounce back on Friday (Oct. 1) when they begin Coast Conference play at No. 3 state-ranked Las Positas College. Opening kick is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
