Folsom, Calif. - The No. 13 Butte softball team took the doubleheader at Folsom Lake, 3-2 and 6-3, on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore Hayley Sites and freshman Avery Jolley led the way for the Roadrunners in game one with a pair of hits each with Sites counting the lone extra-base hit for the team with a double.
In the circle, Jolley (3-3) earned the win, tossing 6.1 innings with three strikeouts. Sophomore Kiya Hamar earned the save.
In game two, sophomore Alexis Detwiler led the battery with a 3-for-4 outing with a double and a triple. Freshmen Kylee Richhart and Diana Hull each chalked up a couple of RBI.
Sophomore Maggie Smith (4-2) counted the complete-game win with a pair of strikeouts.
Butte (8-5) returns home to host No. 17 West Valley on Saturday, Feb. 18 in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
