Sacramento, Calif. The Lady Hawks had their home opener on Thursday hosting Solano College. Lady Hawks scored early and often as they won their first match of the season 6-0.

Lady Hawks get off to a fast start against Solano College. Freshman Carmen Itturiaga scored the first goal of the match in the 9th minute with a shot from the top of the box. Goal was assisted by freshman Analise Villasenor. Analise did not stop her playmaking there, as she connected with freshman Marie Madril on a beautiful combination run down the left side of the pitch that ended with a Analise cross and Marie finish for the 2nd goal of the match in the 24th minute. Hawks took over the match at this point having excellent possession of the ball and controlling the tempo of the game. Hawks kept creating chances and finally found the back of the net as sophomore Elissa Ascencio laid of a ball to freshman Carrigan Noya who hits a laser from 30 out to make it 3-0 before the half.

The second half began and the Hawks did not look like they would be slowing down. They kept creating chances from all over the pitch. In the 53rd minute freshman Nariyah O'Brien beats her defender down the line crossing the ball for Marie Madril's 2nd goal of the match. In the 77th minute freshman Maddie Hultgren played a ball in behind the Solano defense that Analise Villasenor was able to control cut back and put in the back of the net for her first goal of the season. To finish off the scoring frenzy Analise got her 3rd assist of the game on a cross to Nariyah who finished it with class in the box. 

Lady Hawks are back in action on Wednesday September 8th at 4pm. They will be hosting  Lake Tahoe Community College in a non conference match and much anticipated battle between two good teams with playoff hopes.
