Bobcats sweep through SBVC Quad

The Saddleback women's volleyball team improved to 3-0 after back-to-back wins at the San Bernardino Valley College Quad Tournament on Friday in San Bernardino.  The Bobcats have lost just one set through three matches.

Saddleback scored a 3-1 victory over Cerritos College and a 3-0 win against host San Bernardino Valley on Friday.  Sydney Brown (left) combined for 31 kills in two matches while Logan Daniels (right) accounted for 64 assists.

Saddleback opened with a 3-1 win against Cerritos, winning 25-12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20.  Brown had 12 kills and nine digs in the match while Jolie Robinson had 13 kills on just 22 attempts (.591).  Saddleback also had 13 service aces in the match, led by five from Lilyann Horner.  Horner also led the squad with 19 digs in the match.  Logan Daniels accounted for a season-high 36 assists in the match.

Saddleback made quick work of San Bernardino Valley in the final match of the day.  The Bobcats rolled to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-12 win against the Wolverines.  Sydney Brown finished with 19 kills in 29 attempts (.586) while Logan Daniels led the Bobcats with 28 assists.  Saddleback also received a stellar performance from Sabrina Hernandez, who finished with a team-high 10 digs for the match.  Saddleback had 17 service aces in the match, with Daniels and Horner tying for the team high with six apiece. 

Saddleback will play again at Palomar College on Wednesday night.  Match time is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
