Citrus College brought the heat in the heat with a 3-0 victory over Grossmont College Tuesday afternoon.
The Owls improve to 2-0 on the young year with the win, while the Griffins slip to 0-2.
Citrus pressured but couldn't break through until the second half, but when the Owls finally did, they couldn't be contained.
Elisa Salas got things going with an unassisted goal less than five minutes into the second half, before Abigail Salvador tucked in an assist from Kaylee Sanchez in the 55th minute to double the visitors' lead.
Less than 10 minutes later, Salvador struck once again, this time on a Jessica Bustos assist to secure the victory for Citrus.
The Owls make their home debut on Friday, hosting Pasadena City College for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
