(Walnut, CA) With another 30-point performance, Mt. SAC sophomore guard Cyree Dunnell remained one of the hottest players in the South Coast Conference North Friday (2/15), but it wasn't enough as East Los Angeles College defeated the Mounties, 87-61.

In the last five games, Dunnell (9 for 19 FGM, 10-13 FTM, 3 RBs, 3 Assts., 1 Stl.) has been on fire around the rim with 21, 34, 43, 27 and 30 point games, but it wasn't enough on sophomore night as the Mounties lost their last two for an overall record of 11-14 and 3-5 in conference.

Mt. SAC had won the previous three when he began his scoring spree.

In the game, the Mounties managed only nine points midway through the first half, while the Huskies reeled off 20 points. They went on to nearly double Mt. SAC's first-half output by taking a 41-23 lead at the break.

The Mounties, behind 19 second-half points from Dunnell, kept pace with ELAC, but the first-half deficit was too much to overcome.

The only other Mountie in double figures was Israel Mansker (4-5 FGM, 5-6 FTM, 7 RB, 1 Stl.) with 13 points. Gabe Ontiveros added eight points.

The Mounties play their final two regular season games on the road at PCC on Wednesday (2/20) and Rio Hondo on Friday (2/22).
