Riverside, Calif. - Freshman Lexi Derf the Falcon offense but the Solano women's basketball team was edged by Bakersfield, 64-61, on Thursday evening in the Riverside College Earn Our Stripes Tournament.

Derf tallied three from beyond the arc, adding a pair of assists and three steals. Sophomore Jada Scott was the other Falcon to reach double figures with 13 points.

Solano overcame a 12-point halftime deficit by outscoring Bakersfield 18-4 in the third quarter, but was unable to hold on as late made free throws by Bakersfield sealed the final margin.

Solano (1-3) will face Cerritos next on Friday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m.
