Beaver's pitcher stymies Falcons
The Falcons hosted American River on Friday evening for a twilight opener to their 2-game weekend series and a classic pitcher's duel ended with the Beavers on top, 3-0. ARC's Cassie Ralston was superb, allowing just one hit - a single by freshman Taylor Eby - while striking out 15 Falcons. Falcon starter Jenna Kendrick pitched admirably in the loss, striking out eight Beaver batters while issuing just two walks.
