The ladies opened the 2019 season this week with back-to-back home wins defeating powerhouse Long Beach City 3-2 and shutting out San Diego Miramar. Sophomore returners Kendall Mency, Julianna Hernandez, and Cecilia White led the freshman heavy squad to an impressive victory Wednesday over Long Beach City. The ladies played an aggressive game and were able to overpower the Vikings in the 4th and 5th sets. In their second game of the week, the Panthers dominated Miramar in all three sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-17). The team plays the next three on the road, traveling to LA Harbor tomorrow, Irvine Wednesday, and Saddleback Friday.
