Women’s Soccer Defeats LA Valley On the Road

VAN NUYS, Calif. - The El Camino College women's soccer team defeated LA Valley 4-1 on the road on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors (2-4-1) led for the entire game vs the Monarchs (2-4-1). Monica Bernardino scored two goals in the first half to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead at the half.
LA Valley got one goal back to start the second half. However, goals from Isabel Alba and Melisia Medina put the game firmly in the grasp of the Warriors in the last twenty minutes of play.
LA Valley outshot the Warriors (15-10) and had more corner kicks (7-2) but the Warriors had more shots on goal (7-6).
Kelly Gallagher got the start in goal and made six saves.
The Warriors return home on Friday, September 27th for a home game vs Moorpark College. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
