City Wins All 3 Games at Knights Invitational
The San Diego City women's basketball team improved to 5-4 on the season after winning all three of its home games over the weekend at their own Knights Invitational. Alissa Wolfblack averaged 14.6 points and 13.0 rebounds in the three wins and was selected to the all-tournament team.

The Knights started the 3-day home stand with an 85-42 blowout victory over Orange Coast with six scoring in double figures, including Wolfblack who tallied 16 points and 19 rebounds. Jasmyn Wolfgramm added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Aliyah Milner put in 14 points, while Lajaei West and Karla Mendoza scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. Kathryn Monk led the bench scoring with 11 points.
City started the game on a 15-5 run and never looked back. The Knights had a 23-11 lead after the first quarter and built a 44-23 halftime lead. City dominated the rebound battle 71-38 and outscored Orange Coast 23-8 on second chance points.
The Knights were down by three early in Friday's game against Porterville, but they went on an 11-0 run to take a 17-9 lead. They held a 14-point halftime lead and went up by as many as 21 points late in the third quarter. City went on to win, 58-43, behind Mendoza's 20 points, 19 rebounds, and five blocks. Aliyah Milner had 16 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
City's game against Cuesta on Saturday came down to the final seconds with the Knights holding off the Cougars, 76-75. Cuesta was ahead by as many as 13 points late in the second quarter, but the Knight rallied back with a 15-4 run to start the third quarter and tied the game at 45-45 on a layup by Milner.
Cuesta, who was led by Claire Garcia's 38 points, regained a 69-65 lead with 4:29 remaining, but the Knights fought back to take a 76-75 lead with 4 seconds left. Cuesta, however, had the ball for one last chance. Garcia's jumper as time expired was off the mark and the Knights breathed a sigh of relief as they earned their fourth straight victory.
