AVC Softball held on for a 2-1 win over Riverside City College at home on Tuesday. The Marauders are now 4-3 and have won four of their last five contests.
After a scoreless first two innings, Savannah Cervantes hit her first home run of the season with a two-run blast to left-center field. Savannah leads the Marauders in RBI on the season with five. Jayda Williams had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-3, while Natasha Arroyo, Emily Centeno, and Emmeliz Sera each recorded hits.
Sera also had a good day in the circle with three strikeouts and no earned runs in five innings. Annalise Wagner had two Ks in two innings of relief.
Antelope Valley will be back in action on Thursday, 2/9, against Ventura at 2:00 pm at AVC.
