VISALIA – With just four active players on its 2022 roster, the Porterville College women's tennis team hasn't been able to compete at full strength. The Pirates faced a strong opponent in College of the Sequoias on Tuesday and suffered a 9-0 Big 8 Conference South Division loss.

PC is off to a rough start this season and with the loss in Visalia, the Pirates dropped to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

On March 1, the Pirates hosted Diablo Valley in its home opener and lost by a final score of 6-0 as PC played with just four singles and one doubles team.

The Pirates return to action on Friday (Mar. 11) when they host Modesto Junior College in a 1 p.m. conference match.
