Renegades too much for short handed Wildcats

Renegades too much for short handed Wildcats

Bakersfield, CA.

The Wildcats made the long trek to Bakersfield to face the Renegades.
Both teams came into the contest 1-3, but have played better than
their records indicated.

West LA trailed after the first quarter, 23-17. However, WEST played the
rest of the game pretty much even with BC. The Wildcats did their best to
stay close, but Bakersfield pulled down 22 offense rebounds. The Renegades
managed to score 18 2nd chance points, meanwhile WEST countered with 17.

All conference performer Tricia Delph (Faifax HS) did all she could to keep the Wildcats
in the game. Delph scored 19 of her game high 31 points in the 1st half. Delph also pulled
down 16 boards for WEST. Freshman Justice Walters continues to be consitent in her first
year at the collegiate level. Walters played all 40 minutes for WEST LA, as she finished with
13 points.

West LA returns home Saturday to face College of the Canyons. Game time is 1:00 pm.
