Men's Tennis Earns Another Big Win

The MSJC men's tennis team continued their hot start to the season with an 8-1 win on the road at Palomar to improve to 5-1 on the season.
The MSJC men's tennis team continued their hot start to the season with an 8-1 win on the road at Palomar to improve to 5-1 on the season.

The MSJC men's tennis team moved to 5-1 on the season with an 8-1 road victory over Palomar College. The guys took two of the three doubles sets to open the match.

The singles then took full control with six consecutive straight set match wins.  Sophomore, Ashton Vega, remained undefeated in singles play on the season, while sophomore Cody Rodriguez earned a solid victory in the number 6 spot.  The Eagles open conference play next Thursday at El Camino College.

 

Coach Cory Page on the victory; "The guys played very consistent from start to finish, it was great to see us turn games around after getting in an early hole.  Palomar is well coached and we were very happy to get this road win.  We are looking forward to starting conference play next week!"
