Men's volleyball team wraps up regular season with a win

Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team, ranked No. 3 in the state, defeated Fullerton in four sets on the road Wednesday night to finish up the regular season.

Freshman opposite Griffin Book and freshman outside hitter Jaden Churchill each had 12 kills to lead the Lasers to the 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-21 Orange Empire Conference victory.

Irvine Valley improved its record to 16-4 overall and 5-2 in conference.

IVC will finish second in the conference standings.

Freshman outside hitter Colin Chillingworth added 11 kills and freshman middle blocker Trevor Weinert had nine kills and hit .900 for Irvine Valley.

Freshmen Andrew Perez and Donovan Gudino shared setting duties with Perez finishing with 29 assists and Gudino adding 22 assists.

The Lasers will now await the CCCAA playoff pairings next week.
