The Rio Hondo College women's beach volleyball team came away with a pair of victories on Friday as the Roadrunners defeated both Mt. San Antonio College and College of the Desert by a final score of 3-2.

The wins improved Rio Hondo to 6-6 overall. With the South Coast Conference victory over Mt. SAC, the Roadrunners moved to 1-2 in conference play

The No. 1 team of Madison Mader and Andrea Velasco as well as No. 4 duo of Stephanie Garcia and Felipa Moreno were victorious in both their matches to lead the Roadrunners.

Rio Hondo returns to action next Friday (March 30) when it faces two of the state's best. The Roadrunners will take on defending state champion Mira Costa as well as state finalist Long Beach City College, starting at 10 a.m. at Granada Beach.
