TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomores Jack Snyder and Elijah Tolsma helped lead El Camino College to a 2-0 South Coast Conference win over East Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Snyder flirted with a no-hitter through six innings before allowing a leadoff infield single in the seventh inning. He'd go seven and 1/3 innings and allowed just three hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Tolsma provided all the scoring the Warriors would need as he blasted a two-run home run in the fourth inning off Huskies' (10-15, 7-5) starter Francisco Dominguez, who was also stellar on the mound. He tossed a complete game

Snyder and reliever Jason Davis took care of the rest, keeping the Huskies off the scoreboard the rest of the way.

The Huskies biggest threat came in the eighth inning as Richard Ponce and Michael Easter each punched singles through the infield with one out, putting an end to Snyder's day.

Davis entered and immediately walked Alex Mendez to load the bases, but he bounced back with a quick strikeout of Ruben Hernandez and then got a weak groundball to first base to end the inning.

He came back out and pitched a clean ninth with two strikeouts to pick up his first save of the season.

The Warriors won their third straight conference series and currently sit in third place in the SCC with their bye week coming up starting Tuesday against Victory Valley. First pitch at Warrior Field is set for 1 p.m.
