CYPRESS, CA- The Cypress women's volleyball team (13-5, 5-3 OEC) swept the Saddleback Bobcats (11-4, 4-4 OEC) at home on Friday night, 3-0. The Chargers remain undefeated at home, 4-0.

Cypress and Saddleback battled in every possession throughout the entire match.

The Chargers ended the first set with a block to kill, 25-23. Jubilee Allen, Larissa Samano, and Pasia Bontemps led the Chargers with three block assists each. 

In the second set, the lead did not exceed more than two points. After a few mistakes from the Chargers, the Bobcats took the lead at 21-22. Then, Victoria Reza put the set away 26-24 with a service ace.

Cypress got off to an early lead in the third set as Zoe Munn hit back to back aces for the Chargers, 9-2. Long rallies kept the crowd in suspence, however the Chargers pulled away with the largest lead of the night. Shayna Martinez struck the match winning kill and the Chargers won the last set, 25-16.

UP NEXT: Cypress volleyball revisits the Fullerton Hornets in conference-play at Fullerton on Wednesday, October 19th. The match will begin at 6:00PM.
