Still looking for their first win of the season, the Cerritos College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to visiting Orange Coast College on Thursday. The Falcons (0-2) will look for their first win when they travel to Saddleback College for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match on Tuesday.

Although the score may have seemed lopsided, the Falcons extended the Pirates to a tie-breaker in two of the singles matches. In the #3 match, Stephanie Vega dropped the first set, 4-6 to Chloe Mason, but picked up the second set by the same score. The two then battled over the next 26 points, with Mason coming away with a 14-12 win in the tiebreaker. After dropping the first set in the #6 singles match, Andrea Antonio matched the same route as Vega and pushed Audrey Sinclair to a tiebreaker, which resulted in a 10-8 win for the Pirates.

Mikaela Ramirez earned the lone win in singles, as she recorded a 6-1, 6-2 in the #5 singles match and then teamed with Antonio for an 8-3 doubles win in the #3 position.
