Mario Carlos’s Brace Leads Men’s Soccer over East Los Angeles

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. - The El Camino College men's soccer team shook off a two-game losing streak by defeating East Los Angeles 3-0 on the road on Friday night.

The Warriors (11-2, 2-2 SCC) scored early in the game and led for the rest of the way over the Huskies (4-6-5, 2-2 SCC).  

Mario Carlos scored two goals for the game.  He got his first goal in the 2nd minute after an assist from Brian Park. Ricardo Martin scored the second goal of the first half in the 30th minute.

Carlos added his second goal in the 57th minute after an assist from Brandon Bautista.

Luis Garibay made five saves for the day as he and the defense kept the clean sheet against the Huskies.   The Warriors had sixteen shots on goal and forced thirteen saves from the ELAC keeper.

The Warriors next game is at Pasadena City on Tuesday October 19th.  Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
