Bobcats split in the rain
The Saddleback beach volleyball team was in action on Wednesday at Irvine Valley College (IVC) for a double-header with Fullerton College and IVC. The Bobcats split the two matches in a steady downpour of rain.
The weather wasn't ideal, but Saddleback opened with a 5-0 win against Fullerton in the opening match of the day. The Bobcats lost just one set while picking up a forfeit win at the 5's. The most impressive win came on court three where Haley Jones and Kaydance Robles rolled to a 21-11, 21-8 victory. Other winners included the duo of Logan Daniels and Lilyann Horner (pictured) at the 1's (21-12, 21-11), Sydney Brown and Olivia Gonzalez at the 2's (21-18, 21-14) and Sabrina Hernandez and Sydney Pak at the 4's (21-19, 21-23, 15-7). Autry Satica and Desiree Atienza were forfeit winners at the 5's.
Saddleback finished the day with a 0-5 loss against Irvine Valley.
Saddleback will play again on April 14 at Irvine Valley when they take on IVC and Riverside City College.
