Riverside City men's & women's tennis earn ITA All-Academic honors, seven named Scholar-Athletes
RIVERSIDE - It was recently this summer by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) that the Riverside City College men's and women's tennis programs earned 2019-20 All-Academic Team recognition and seven student-athletes earned Scholar-Athlete laurels.
In order to be named an ITA All-Academic team, a team must earn a cumulative grade-point-average of at least 3.2 while remaining in good institutional eligibility standing throughout the entire season. As an ITA Scholar-Athlete, the student-athlete must possess a grade-point-average of 3.5 or above with good eligibility standing.
The men's program was just one of 16 teams to qualify for the honor, while the women's team was one of 17 teams. A national total of 68 men's players and 85 women's players earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition in the entire nation.
